Please refer to your online application vide application code S-29023|30647|2020|S&T(HQ)  dated 29-07-2022 on the subject above.

 I, in exercise of the powers conferred on me under Regulation 124(3)(d) of the Metalliferous Mines Regulation ,1961 and Regulation 143(7) of the Coal Mines Regulation, 2017, hereby approve Environmental Laboratory (Unit of Mineral Engineering Services) located at #948, 2nd cross, St.Thomas Town, Post: Kammanahalli, Bangalore 560084 (Karnataka) for determination of quartz content in the respirable dust subject to the following conditions : -

  1. Proper record of the quartz content in the respirable dust sample received, place, location and time of the sampling, type of instrument used for dust sampling etc shall be maintained in a bound paged book and signed by the competent persons.
  1. The details of the calibration done to the instruments used for determination of quartz content shall be submitted with each report.
  1. An annual statement of the sample received and analyzed shall be submitted to this Directorate for record.
  1. Any changes made in the instrument for determination of quartz content shall be informed to this Directorate.
  1. If at any time any of the conditions subject to which this approval has been granted is violated or not complied with this approval shall be deemed to have been revoked with immediate effect.
  1. This approval is being granted without prejudice to any other provisions of any statute, which may be or may become applicable at any time.
  1. This approval may be amended or withdrawn at any time, if considered necessary in the interest of safety.
  1. This approval shall remain valid up to two(02) years from the date of issue of this letter.
