FLP VCB-01 rated up to 7.2 KV, 630 A, 13.1 KA, manufactured by M/s Prabhu Industrial Udyog Pvt Ltd., Kolkata (Formerly M/s. Prabhu Switchgear Pvt. Ltd., Kolkata), conforming to  IS/IEC 60079-0:2017 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/62284/2024/Electrical (HQ)dated 24.03.2024 on the above subject and BIS license no.CM/L-1855466, CIMFR Test Report No. IN/CIMFR/TR20/1777 dated 31/07/2020, test report no. CIMFR/FES/Clarification/22-23/310 dated 08/12/2022 and the associated drawing nos. as listed at sln.13 of the above test report and other documents submitted therewith in this regard. 

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 502 of 2003) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 484/2274/EHQ dated 23.12.2003 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 23.12.2029 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India. 

In the interest of safety, the OEM guidelines shall be adhered to, and spares supplied by the OEM shall only be used while maintaining the apparatus. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with, and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.

Please note that the application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
