Subject :- Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof and intrinsically safe electrical equipment associated with Crawler Mounted Electro-Hydraulic Side Discharge Loader (SDL), type : D137/1000 manufactured by M/s. Simplex Engineering & Foundry Works Pvt. Ltd., Bhilai-490 026 (Chhatisgarh) for use in belowground Coal Mines– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/61290/2022/Electrical (HQ) dated 10.09.2022 on the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 612 of 2001) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 612/EHQ dated 21.06.2001 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 06.06.2024 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
