Sub: DGMS approval No- 463 of 1999 under Regulation 208(3) of the coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for FLP/WP Well Glass Lighting Fittings designated bytype No-LF-01 rated at 110 V (Max) AC/DC suitable for 60 W GLS lamp in cast iron construction manufactured by M/s Safex (India), Dhanbad conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2007, IEC 60529:1989 and IS/IEC 60079-0:2004 for use in belowground Coal Mines- Renewal thereof.

Please refer to you online application No.E-29021|30739|2021|Electrical(HQ) dated .04.02.2021 and off line application No-SI/DGMS/LF-01/20-21/234 dated 04.02.2021 and subsequent correspondence thereupon the above subject and test reports and other documents submitted there within in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No.463 of 1999) granted vide this Directorates Letter No.429/668/EHQ dated 13.07.1999 for a further period of five(5) Years i.e upto 07.05.2026 for use in belowground Coal mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (3) month before the date of expiry of the approval.
