Marathon Electric Motors (India) Ltd, Kolkata for use in below ground coal mines in India– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/62434/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 01/07/2025 on the above subject and test reports no. IN/CIMFR/TR20/2228 dated 28/08/2020 & IN/CIMFR/Clarification/22-23 /252 dated 03/8/2022, BIS Licence no. CM/L-5412755, Performance report dated 28/05/2025 of Khas Kajora Colliery of M/s ECL and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No.696 of 2015) granted for renewal approval vide this Directorate's letter No. vide letter no. E-29021/30445/2020/Electrical (HQ) dated: 30/09/2020 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 01/09/2030, for use in belowground Coal Mines in India.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
