Subject: Approval of Super Coal Delay Detonators (0-6) with Epoxy Powder Coated Steel Shell for use in belowground gassy coal mines/seams of third degree manufactured by M/s Ideal Detonator Private Limited, Secunderabad, – Renewal thereof

Please refer to your online application ID No. 62056 dated 06.09.2024, this Directorate’s clarification letter No: MSE-29022|62056|2024|MSE(HQ) dated 22/10/2024 and your reply Ref. No. IDEAL/IDPL/2024-25/ Dated: 25.10.2024 on the above subject.

In view of the satisfactory performance report from the mines. I, in exercise of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 hereby renew the approval granted vide this Directorate’s letter No. S 66021/02/2015-Genl/P-1287 dated 20.01.2015 for further period of two years i.e. up-to 19.01.2026 or till phase out of the electric detonator as per the guidelines and the timeframe governed by the Gazette notification no. S.O. 4255(E) of DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce regarding phasing out of the electric detonator, whichever is earlier., subject to the following condition.

1. All precaution in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 applicable for transport, storage, handling, charging, use and firing of the explosive in underground coal mines shall be observed.
