Sub:   Sub: Approval of Laboratory for determination of respirable dust content and quartz content dust samples of M/s. Arvind Industrial Hygiene Consultancy, Raipur-regarding

Sir,

Please refer to your online application number vide no. ID: 62705 dated 19.01.2026 further clarification reply dated on 12.03.2025 & factory inspection from this Directorate office on above subject matter.

The matter has since been examined on the basis of the information furnished by you in the application and documents enclosed therewith.  In exercise of the powers conferred on the Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety)  under Regulation 124(3)(d) of the Metalliferous Mines Regulations ,1961 and Regulation 143(7) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby approve  laboratory owned of M/s. Arvind Industrial Hygiene Consultancy, Raipur for determination of respirable dust content and quartz content dust samples in coal & non coal mines subject to the following conditions:-

1. Proper record of the quartz content in the respirable dust sample received, place, location and time of the sampling, type of instrument used for dust sampling etc. shall be maintained in a bound paged book and signed by the competent persons.
2. The detail of the calibration done of the instruments used for determination of quartz content shall be submitted with each report.
3. A quarterly statement of the sample received & analyzed shall be submitted to this Directorate for record.
4. Any changes made in the instrument for determination of quartz content shall be informed to this Directorate.
5. If at any time any of the conditions subject to which this approval has been granted is violated or not complied with this approval shall be deemed to have been revoked with immediate effect.
6. This approval is being granted without prejudice to any other provisions of any statute, which may be or may become applicable at any time.
7. This approval may be amended or withdrawn at any time, if considered necessary in the interest of safety.
8. This approval shall remain valid upto Five (05) years from date of issue of this letter  subject to validity of the NABL Certificate.
