I, in exercise of powers conferred upon the Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 829 of 2024) granted vide this Directorate’s letter No. E-29021|61813|2024|Electrical(HQ), Dhanbad, Date: 24.04.2024 for a further period of two years, i.e., up to 05.03.2028 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval, subsequent renewal letters, and the amendment approval (wherever applicable), issued vide letter no. E-29021|61813|2024|Electrical(HQ), Dhanbad, Date: 24.04.2024, shall be strictly complied with, and the test reports of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before. The OEM guidelines shall be adhered to, and spares supplied by OEM shall only be used while maintaining the machines in the interest of safety.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of this approval.
Condition: The latest test report conforming to the IS/IEC 60079-11:2023 may please be submitted to this Directorate within three (03) months from the date of issuance of this approval. In case the same is not received within the stipulated period, the approval may be reviewed, which could lead to its withdrawal.
