Sub: Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof drill control panel, type- DP-5, rated uptp 100 A, suitable for 550 V AC, 3 phase, 50 Hz(Primary) and 125 V AC, 3 phase, 50 Hz (Secondary) suitable for controlling 1.5 HP coal drill and intrinsically safe circuits manufactured by M/s- Prabhu Industrial Udyog Pvt. Ltd, Kolkata conforming to IS/IEC 60079-0:2017and IS/IEC 60079-1:2014 for use in belowground Coal Mines – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/61712/2023/Electrical (HQ) dated 02.11.2023 on the above subject and test reports, performance report and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval ( Approval No. 316 of 1992) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 423/246/EHQ dated 30.03.1992 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 25.01.2026 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters, if any, shall be strictly complied with and the test reports(including tests on Ingress protection) of all the electrical items covered under approval, conforming to the latest testing standards, shall be submitted within three months, if not submitted before.
The application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of this approval.
