Subject: Approval of Supercoal-5 (Code No.SEL/EM/03/P5-3), a P5 emulsion-based explosives composition, packed in polythene film with steel end clippings for use in belowground gassy coal mines/seams of first, second and third degree manufactured by M/s. Solar Industries India Limited, Nagpur - Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application ID No. 62133, dated 25.11.2024 on the above subject.
In view of the satisfactory performance reports from user mines, I, in exercise of powers conferred on me under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval of Supercoal-5 (Code No. SEL/EM/03/P5-3), a P5 emulsion-based explosives composition, packed in polythene film with steel end clippings manufactured by M/s. Solar Industries India Limited, Nagpur for use in belowground gassy coal mines/seams of first, second and third degree.
The renewal of the Approval is subjected to following conditions:
- All the conditions of the approval granted vide this Directorate vide letter No. S 66021/145/2006-Genl/1237, dated 24.05.2013 shall remain unchanged except the validity of the approval.
- The validity of the renewal shall be for the period of 05 years i.e upto 24.12.2029.
- Further renewal of the approval can be sought through online application atleast 90 days prior to the expiry of the validity.
