Subject: Application for renewal of Approval under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations 2017, of NOVA COAL-5 (Code NFCL/A-9), P-5 type of explosive composition for use in gassy coal mines of third-degree gassiness, manufactured by M/s NAVBHARATH Fuse Company Ltd.- Secunderabad, Telangana – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application vide ID no. 62266, dated 06.03.2025, along with the offline letter No. nil dated 28.04.2025, on the above subject.

The subject matter has been examined in light of your application and documents submitted, In view of the satisfactory performance reports from a mine. In exercise of the power conferred on the Chief Inspector of Mines also designated as Director General of Mines Safety under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations 2017, I, hereby grant renewal of NOVA COAL-5 (Code NFCL/A-9), P-5 type of explosive composition for use in gassy coal mines of third-degree gassiness, manufactured by M/s NAVBHARATH Fuse Company Ltd, Secunderabad, Telangana. The renewal of the Approval is subjected to the following conditions being strictly complied with:

1. All the conditions of the approval granted vide this Directorate,s letter No.S-66021/151/2006-Genl/4197, dated 30.12.2009, shall remain unchanged except the validity of the approval.
2.  All precaution in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 applicable for transport, storage, handling, charging, use and firing of the explosive in underground coal mines, shall be strictly followed.
3. Any accident, injuries including loss of lives or properties caused due to defects of malfunctioning of this product shall be adequately indemnified by the manufacturer in agreement with the user(s).
4. Further renewal of the approval can be sought through online application at least 90 days prior to the expiry of the validity.
5. The validity of the renewal shall be for the period of 05 years i.e upto 29.12.2029.
