Please refer to your online application No. E-29021|62384|2025|Electrical (HQ) dated 30.05.2025 on the above subject, and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
In exercise of powers conferred upon the Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, I hereby renew the (DGMS Approval No E_82364/8 of 2020) issued vide Directorate’s Letter No. E-29021|81|2018|Electrical (HQ) Dhanbad, Date: 04.02.2020; for a further period of five years, i.e., up to 23/07/2030 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
Please note that the application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.

1. Valid test reports conforming to the applicable EN/IEC standards for ingress protection for the items at serial numbers 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 13, and 14, as mentioned in Annexure B, must be submitted to this Directorate within three (03) months from the date of issue of the renewal permission. Failing this, the permission is liable to be withdrawn without further communication.
