Subject: Approval No. 710 of 2016 under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof/Weatherproof and Intrinsically Safe electrical equipment associated with EBZ200 Hard Rock Road Header (as mentioned in Annexure-B) in the name of M/s. Shenyang North Heavy Mining Machinery Co. Ltd, People’s Republic of China for use in belowground coal mines in India – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/40932/2021/Electrical (HQ) dated 19.07.2021, offline application No. NIL dated 09.02.2021 on the above subject and ERTL/CIMFR test reports as mentioned in Annexure-B and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 710 of 2016) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 607/1022/EHQ dated 18.05.2016 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 18.05.2026 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
