Sub:  Renewal of approval of Instantaneous Copper Electric Detonators (AP-CED) for use in belowground coal mines/seams of first degree manufactured by M/s. A. P. Explosives Private Limited, Secunderabad.

Dear Sir,

Please refer to your letter No. APEPL/19-20/DGMS/187 dated 01.11.2019 and online application no. Nil dated 01.12.2019 on the above subject.

In view of difficulties expressed by you, I, by virtue of powers conferred upon me under Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 hereby renew the approval of of   Instantaneous Copper Electric Detonators (AP-CED) for use in belowground coal mines/ seams of first degree for a further period of two years i.e. from 18.03.2020 to 17.03.2022., subject to compliance with the conditions stipulated vide this Directorate’s letter No. 14(2)2003-Genl/3268 dated 17.09.2003. Further Regulation 2(23) of Coal Mines Regulations, 1957 mentioned in the said letter shall be read as Regulation 2(zu) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017.
