Sub:    Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for flameproof/weatherproof motor in M.S. fabricated      construction rated at 315 KW, 4 pole, 3.3 KV, 3 phase, 50 Hz in frame size-KF400           manufactured by M/s. Marathon Electric Motors (India) Limited, Kolkata conforming   to IS/IEC 60079-0:2004 and IS/IEC 60079-1:2007 for use in belowground Coal Mine – Renewal thereof.

 

 

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/30568/2020/Electrical (HQ) dated 15.09.2020, offline application MS/MOTOR/KF400/573 dated 25.06.2020 on the above subject and ERTL test report No. ERTL(E)/TES/M253/0045/07-12 dated 31.07.2012, BIS License No. CM/L-5412755 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard. 

 

I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 573 of 2008) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 60/1601/EHQ dated 22.07.2008 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 22.07.2025  for use in belowground Coal Mines.  The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with. 

 

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
