Subject: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof Induction Motor rated at 2 HP(1.5 KW), 3 phase, 381/440 V, 50 Hz, 2830 RPM continuous duty with class ‘E’ insulation and having detachable terminal box for terminals with sealing box and gland for wire armoured cable and with external fan and fan cooled in frame size - E90L manufactured by M/s. CG Power and Industrial Solutions Ltd., Ahmed Nagar conforming to testing standards IS/IEC 60079-0:20217 and IS/IEC 60079-1:20214 for use in belowground Coal Mines in India – Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application no. E-29021/62260/2025/Electrical (HQ) dated 03/03/2025, on the above subject, ERTL (E) test and assessment report no. ERTL (E)/TES/C 299/0011/08-22/NABL dated 27/09/2022, BIS Licence no. CM/L-0870053 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.

I, in the exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 104 Group-I of 1975) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 83/K/75/1214/EHQ dated 19.11.1975 for a further period of two years, i.e. up to 21.01.2028 for use in belowground Coal Mines.

The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.

Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
