Sub: Approval under Regulation 208 (3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017 for Flameproof Fan Cooled Slipring Electric Induction Motor with detachable independent terminal boxes for starter core and rotor core fitted with cable sealing boxes and glands for wire armoured cables and independent detachable cast iron slipring housing rated at 45 KW(60 HP), 380/440 V, 3 phase, 50 Hz, 1500 synchronous RPM continuous duty class ‘F’ insulation in frame size-EW 250 S/M conforming to IS/IEC 60079-1:2014, IS/IEC 60079-0:2011 and IS/IEC 60034-5:2000 for use in belowground Coal Mines– Renewal thereof.

Please refer to your online application No. E-29021/0613/2020/Electrical (HQ) dated 26.10.2020, offline application No. LTM/DGMS/REN/2020-21/15 dated 16.09.2020 on the above subject and CIMFR Test & Assessment Report No. IN/CIMFR/TR20/317 dated 30.01.2020, BIS License No. CM/L- 0870053 and other documents submitted therewith in this regard.
I, in exercise of powers conferred upon Chief Inspector of Mines (also designated as Director General of Mines Safety) under Regulation 208(3) of the Coal Mines Regulations, 2017, hereby renew the approval (DGMS Approval No. 126A Group-I of 1976) granted vide this Directorate's letter No. 83/76/1619/EHQ dated 18.12.1976 for a further period of five years, i.e. up to 05.12.2025 for use in belowground Coal Mines. The conditions mentioned in the original approval and subsequent renewal letters shall be strictly complied with.
Please note that application for renewal should be made at least three (03) months before the date of expiry of the approval.
